Sending Organisation: Casapace Milano​

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is an activity funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Commission that allows young people aged 18 to 30 to carry out a voluntary period of 2 to 12 months (with some exceptions) in a European country, for acquire skills within a non-profit organization, learn the language of the destination country, learn to work in a group in different cultural contexts.

The ESC program is practically free for participants, as funding includes:

100% reimbursement of travel expenses,
food and accommodation for the entire period of stay abroad,
insurance coverage,
language training in the country of destination,
tutoring and assistance of the host organization (coordinator + mentor).
As regards the times, there are 3 fixed deadlines within which the requests for funding for the projects must be submitted:

February 1st, with departure between May 1st and October 31st,
May 1st, with departure between August 1st and January 31st,
October 1st, with departure between January 1st and June 30th.

These are the dates by which you must already have an organization that has selected you, so you must have already completed all the steps of
material preparation (CV and motivation letter),
search projects on the ESC database,
e-mail application,
and have been selected.

Indicatively, it takes between 2 weeks and 4 months for these preparations, depending on the time available and the projects contacted. From the date on which the request for funding for the projects is presented, 8-10 weeks pass before the outcome of the approval or not of the contribution, and 12 before the departure.
